Should I Start an Etsy Store?
In the past it has been suggested that I should sell my artwork on Etsy, but I never thought that art prints did very well on Etsy.
Now I’m wondering if things have changed? Are people buying more artwork through Etsy and should I finally consider selling my work on Etsy?
I doubt that a lot of my work would really sell since Etsy is a bit of a place for hipsters and crafters to go to buy things they can’t easily find elsewhere. But some stuff might do alright. I am also thinking of adding the resin jewelry that has my artwork in it if I open a store.
I have a store on my site, but only fans know of its existence and I wonder if Etsy would help me get new customers/fans. Is it worth paying $.20 to display an item in the shop?
Feel free to give your input or let me know your experiences on selling artwork on Etsy if you’ve done so. I would love to get your thoughts.
Glad to see you’ve taken the plunge Dawn. Is it worth $.20? I would say yes. Don’t forget the £.20 is for three months. Will it sell? As I’m sure you know, it takes a fair amount of work to make a sale, my only advice is to continue to promote at every opportunity. Best of luck with the new shop.
